Windows server keep installing AU and reboot themselves

We have 17 branch servers --Win2K3 SP2 and AD managed AU update enabled. They
reboot at middle night by themselves. Some serverscannot come back to live.

Does everyone have the same scenarios?

HOw to prevent the server reboot itself after AU update by modifying the
registry?
How to disable AU update in registry?

Not possible.

... but if these machines are AD managed, it probably makes more sense to use
group policy. In fact, the first thing you need to do is check whether or not
Automatic Updates is already configured by group policy.
