Windows server standard edition sp 1 to update to sp2

hi,
I have Windows server standard edition sp 1 I try my best to update this
version to Windows server standard edition sp 2 but I cant update because the
mgs. saying windows server sp 2 not install plese help to solve this promblem

Windows Server what? 2000? 2003? 2008? 32-bit? 64-bit? R2?

Start button --> RUN
(no "RUN"? Press the "Windows Key" + R on your keyboard)
--> type in:
winver
--> Click OK.

The picture at the top of the window that opens will give you the general
(Operating System name) while the line starting with the word "version" will
give you the rest of the story. Post _both_ in response to this message
verbatim. No paraphrasing - instead - ensure character-for-character
copying.

How are you trying to install SP2? Downloading the entire file and
installing it? Automatic updates?

What is the *exact* message?
