Windows service pack 2

Every time when I want to download the Windows service pack 2, there appears
a message with the following words: interne fout (internal error?),
so I can't install it. What do I have to do now?

Did you make certain that your computer was ready for SP2 before you tried
to install it?

Check windows updates to make sure you have the latest security patches and
service packs instªlled :

Why SP2, why not SP3?
Error messages when you try to install Windows XP Service Pack 3: "Service
Pack 3 installation did not complete" and "An internal error occurred"
