windows service pack update 4

When I try to download the Windows Service Pack 4 I receive the following
error msg.: "couldn't verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure
Cryptographic service is running." What does this mean & what's my problem?

Which version of Windows are you running, Bosphi ?
If it's XP, have a look here :
