windows service pak 2

i have tried to download this but each time I do it tells me and internal
error has occured what do I need to do to fix this problem

Service Pack 2 for Windows XP I assume?

Yes...
- Why Service Pack 2 and not Service Pack 3? (Fresh, no SP at all,
installation?)
- In what way are you downloading SP2 for Windows XP?

This is for SP3 (which is now available) but should help if you really truly
want only SP2 -
Error messages when you try to install Windows XP Service Pack 3: "Service
