I want to temporarily disable Windows Updates on my Windows XP Pro SP1
laptop. In the end, I want the option to 'manually' initiate ALL Windows
Updates to my OS. I'm on a Windows 2003 network. We have many different
applications that crash when SP2 is installed. And we're researching what KB
fixes are causing the applications to crash. 1. Does anyone know of any
Windows Hotfixes that may cause MS Office corruption or conflict with
application/OS operations. 2. If I go into the local 'msconfig' (System
Config Utility) and disable Windows Updates at startup, will the disable
option be overridden by a GPO?
