Any information regarding "Windows 7" would
be pure speculation at this time.

Hi,

Microsoft is being tight-lipped about this version, there's no substantial
public information, only speculation.

Paul Thurrott sems to have an inside track with Microsoft. I followed
his news and reviews for about 3 years prior to the launch of Windows
Vista. Check his website regularly for updates concerning Windows 7:

I did hit a link last week that "claimed" to have Win 7 previews. They
looked Like Vista to me, at least in the UI. Found this too...

If true, then Vista users are beta testers for Vienna...funny.

From what I've seen and read,Windows 7's GUI is still pretty-much
Aero, as it is in Vista, and most probably will be Aero at the RTM.

Also, I don't expect to see much change in the GUI in Windows 7, since
most folks seem to like it (I know, most of yall don't. But of
course, the majority of Vista owners do like it, so I really don't see
Microsoft making any new -- or unusual -- GUI changes.)

I'm sure that Windows 7 will STILL be "Microsoft Windows", basically,
with the same GUI, but (hopefully), a better-working and smaller OS
core, as is usual for a new Microsoft OS release.

I doubt that there will be very many major design changes.
