WINDOWS/SoftwareDistribution

Hi:

After installing SP2 I'm now the proud owner of a new
folder named WINDOWS/SoftwareDistribution that contains
about 500 MB of files. Since I'm a little short on space
on the C:/-drive, I would like to move or remove this
folder. Is that safe/possible. Thanks for your help.

Hi

Emptying the folder %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ is
completely safe.

(%windir% is typically C:\Windows)

For folders you can consider deleting and other disk cleanup tips
after a successful SP2 installation, take a look here:
