Windows SP2 update

Aloha, I'm new here...Have problems installing SP2, After a few minutes I get
a message that windows Sp 2 was unsuccesfully installed. What do I need to do
to get it installed ?? Do need to I disable some running programs ??

If you go to the Windows Update website you will see a link to information
regarding setting up your system for the installation of Service Pack 2.
Briefly, this entails disabling your anti-virus when running the
installation as well as cleaning up your Temporary Internet Files, running
defrag, ensuring your hardware has the latest XP drivers, and so on. The
link has all the details.
