Windows SP2 won't install

I'm trying to install SP2. I download it, when it gets to 'review and
install' the download size is 0 kb. Then I tell it to install and it won't.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I have been having the same problems for the last 3 days!!!!!
one good thing, at least now i know its not just my pc that is having
problems, sorry cant be any help in resolving this

Hi,

I'm having the same problem! The installer says the file size is 0kb and
that it has failed to install. It's driving me mad!

Anyone out there with any answers to this one?

Howdy,
Did you write down the whole message? if so, what was it?
Reply with how & where you are trying to set XP Service Pack 2 ? Is it at the website for Windows Update?

Need to determine if the failure is a complete failure to download, or if the failure is during the install phase.

If you tried online, & it failed right away without downloading anything, let us know that too.

Use Notepad or Wordpad and open & look at the Windows Update log file
C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log or C:\WINNT\WindowsUpdate.log

Scroll down all the way. Get / copy / paste (ideally, put into a file & attach in reply back here) the set of lines for (today's ) the last session.
