Hi there,

Best to do is have sfc check the system files by running the command sfc
/scannow from the Command Window (Start > Run). Put XP disk in, click on
exit when it comes up on screen, leave disk in, type in run box off Start
sfc /scannow and click OK. (Space between c and /). Any files damaged or
mising will be replaced by the original windows files.

Best regards,
Michel Denie

OK. The reason that I asked was that I been seeing this exact same issue in many other newsgroups. All who has this same issue are using AVG. To confirm if it is a problem or a false positive with AVG go to other Anti Virus sites at least 3 other and use their on line scanners. Post back on results.

Have no idea what is causing AVG to come up with this since there was none of the same particulars in any of the other posters with the same issue it is hard to pin point.

Okay I have tried with other programs and it showed up on them too ... now
this is also popping up after I have scanned ... windows\system32\user32.dll
and windows\system32\ntoskrnl.32 .... I scan for virus and spyware everyday
and I have no idea what's happening ... should I take my computer to a shop
to take a look at it for me? I'm afraid to use the run command since I've
never done that in my life. After these 3 pop up it says "Change" have no
idea what they mean by that and I haven't found anything at Microsoft's sites!

Hi there,

All the files are system files so cannot be removed, however you can replace
them with the original system files here is how to act:

Have sfc check the system files by running the command sfc /scannow from the
Command Window (Start > Run). Put your windows cd in the cd rom drive, click
on exit when the normal installation screen pops up, leave the disk disk in,
type in run box off Start sfc /scannow and click OK.

It will take some time and files might not be found just click okay and try
again till finished.

Good luck and best regards,
Michel Denie
