Windows Temporary Internet Folder

I am using Vista Ultimate and really like it but can't understand
why it handles the Temporary Internet Folder differently then
my old WinXP did.

After accessing a webpage my XP TIF listed all the elements
of that page... images, sounds, links, and if there was an SWF
flash file, or PPS PowerPoint file it would show it in the folder.

I could copy that item and paste it into another folder to open
it when I wanted..

Now, after viewing an SWF file or want to copy an image that
was on the original webpage it isn't listed.

It is even different listing cookies. If I accessed TIF under XP
I could delete individual cookies dealing with Advertising etc.

Now, those cookies aren't listed..

Can anyone explain why and is there some way to configure
TIF to show all elements?

Hi,
Are you accessing the Temporary Internet Files from the TIF viewer? Go to
Internet Options> General> Browsing history> Settings> View files. If you
then select View> Details, then click on the Type column to sort by type, it
should be easier to find what you're looking for. Sorting by Last Modified
should make it easy to find a file from a site you just visited.

Also, clearing the TIF won't clear cookies so it will be very easy to find
them after clearing out the TIF folder.

I think in Vista the system makes the folder, or at least the files,
"invisible".

About cookies: Look in C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows.
Then in Organize\Folder and Search Options\View, put a check in "Show hidden
files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
This will show you the 'rest of' your cookies.
