Dr. Bakken,
Before I resort to the registry as described above, and having checked out
the links suggested for info, what do you think is the reason for [Error
number: 0x8007043C] when in Safe Mode logged as Adminitrator launching
Windows Update? That is what directed me to this newsgroup originally.
