I do doubt that your Critec 98 would have been "removed" by W U updates. period.
Now, do you know what folder your Critec 98 was using to store its information?
Have you used Windows Explorer to browse around your hard drive folders?
When Critec was setup, did you take the default setup option? If so, the program itself would likely be under
C:\Program Files folder.
Your data files would "typically" be stored in their own folder elsewhere.
Use Windows Explorer to see where it is.
One last thing, be sure you logged in to Windows with the same user account as you used before for Critec.
