Windows Update 2 updates fail to install

When I run automatic updates, everything installs okay, except these two:

Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB955470)
Security Update for 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB955936)

Any help woud be SO appreciated.

Tip: Insert your Office 2007 CD into the appropriate drive bay before
attempting to install the updates again.

You haven't advised us of any error messages etc, only that they failed to
installed. There are many reasons why updates fail to install and that is
why you should provide as much information as possible.

May I suggest that you try a full file download and installation -
KB955470
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

or in the alternative, leave the Office installation disk in the
installation drive prior to trying to install updates.

I have also an issue with 955936.
During the install I'm getting a dialog:
"Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 is not installed on the machine.
Setup can not continue"

Notes:
1. Since the install fails I continuously get reminders to install this
update..
2. I used to have Office 2003 installed on this machine, but now I have
Office 2007 installed.
3. The "Microsoft Office Diagnostics" tools also causes this dialog to be
displayed during diagnosing package number 2.

I also have a problem relating to this installation and Office 2003. My
Office 2003 stopped working one day and won't uninstall, so I had to install
Office 2007 over the top. Now, whenever there's an update that affects Office
2003, it fails. This is a major problem.

Can anyone help?
