Windows Update after reinstallation of XP Pro

After unsuccessfully installing the SP2 of XP my computer crashed resulting
in an overhaul on my HDD. Now when I return to get the updates from MSFT
site, 1st thing it wants to install by force is the BITS2 but never
completes. I get error: "Setup could not verify the integrity of the file
Update.inf. Make sure the Croptographic serice is running on this computer."
That service has been verified to be running, but still prevents
installation.

Anyone?!

You Cannot Install Some Updates or Programs “Digital Signature not found�
When you use the Windows Update Web site to install updates, the installation
fails and the Windows Update.log file contains error 80070643.

That did worked to get the preliminary downloads, but now almost every single
update fails to update . Whats the deal !!! man this is frustrating hope they
backed up version 4 of the update site ! .

What updates are you trying to install? Are there any
error codes?

Well thanks to another post I was able to locate the version 4 update site
which to get the other download loaded.
