Windows Update & Blue Screen of Death

I just ran Windows Update this morning with the security patches for Office
XP and Windows. After the reboot I go the Blue Screen of Death! Am I the only
one?

Microsoft extensively tests all updates on a wide variety
of computers before releasing them to the public. If you
are having some sort of problem installing them, then
you need to post back with some specific information.

I was able to restart my computer by pressing F8 and using the Last Known
Good Configuration option. I then IMMEDIATELY backed up my entire system. I
will post the updates I did this morning later on today. Thank you for your
