Windows Update & I.E not working

My internet explorer can no longer run scripts.
It shows in my options that everything is set correctly.

Also I can nolonger see my windows update history.
And I get stuck on any page that runs scripts.

Running Windows 2000 & I.E. v 6.

Thanks for any help.
