Hi all,
I have a bit of a problem with XP SP2 which I was hoping
someone can help me with.
Last week, windows update kicked in and started
downloading XP SP2. Because I am on dial-up it was taking
a very long time, as expected, and so being impatient I
couldn't wait and downloaded it at work and brought the
cd home and installed it manually. Everything went fine
with the install, no problems whatsoever.
BUT, now comes my problem. It seems that every time I
dial in now to my ISP a connection is made almost
immediately to the windows update site and downloading
continues of what I suspect is SP2 even though I have it
already installed.
Is there some way I can kill off the download as it's not
needed anymore ?
