Hello -- new Vista Ultimate user here. I started up my home computer this
morning, and the Patch Tuesday updates were applied. When I restarted my
computer, I was presented with a clean desktop, as if I had a brand new
computer -- when I start up my programs it is as if they are starting for the
first time.
It appears that Windows created a TEMP profile folder, and all of my
previous settings are still there, in my original user profile folder.
Before I left for work, I restarted the computer again, as Windows as
applying additional updates -- I have two questions:
1. Does anybody know whether the update process will delete the TEMP
profile when it's done, and revert my computer back to my old profile?
2. If it *doesn't* delete the TEMP profile, is there a quick/easy way to
get rid of that profile and go back to my prior settings? Or is that asking
too much? ;-)
Thanks,
Tom Mighell
