Windows Update: BITS 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (PROBLEMS)

I have had 4 failures why trying to download this update and now it's been
running for atl east an hour. Anyone have any suggestions? I contacted
support thru chat and they had be a change a setting in the REG but it has
not helped.

Can anyone help? I'm getting very annoyed!

I have the exact same issue. I've even noticed my pc slowing down to a
ridiculous speed of slow - I've done the virus check and all is ok. Has to be
the SP2 I've been trying to install. Hope you get an answer soon !

Please try this, it might fix your problem:

Go to
http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm#C...Service_Pack_2

Look for fixdb.bat under "Error 0x800710D9 Unable to read from
or write to the database". Download and run it.
