You dont *need* to update unless you have a problem or it adds extra
functionality.
Just because an update might be available doesnt mean you need to.
The device is a sound device, either you have an embedded sound device on
your mobo, or you have a sound card.
If you really wish to update visit your mobo, or PC manu, or sound card site
and see what updates are avilable.
Winupdate has a habit of showing incorrect drivers,corrupt drivers, and
drivers with an incorrect version designation.
