Windows Update cannot work again. Help me please!!!

Recently i discover that my Windows Auto Update cannot work. Thus, i access
windows update website to download security and critical update manually.

However, my windows update still failed even i run it manually. It still
can't work even i close the auto update option.

Can I know how do i solve this problem?

For your info, i'm trying to downloading the following updates:
Security Update for Windows XP (KB873339)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB885835)
Critical Update for Windows XP (KB886185)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB885836)

stop any web, popup, etc filters.

Make sure you don't have any spyware,adware on your computer

You cannot install some updates or programs

stop auto update service
rename C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistributionold
start auto update service

i've try method in

but at the end, my IE can't display the Windows Update at all.

Furthermore, i can't rename the SoftwareDistribution to
SoftwareDistributionold since it is read-only file.
