Since installing a Windows Update my montor is only displaying 4 bit colour.

How can I improve this please?

WTIA

Reboot to Safe Mode
Open Device Manager
Remove ALL Display Adapters
Remove ALL Monitors
Reboot to Normal Mode - Windows will reinstall the required drivers -
hopefully curing your problem.

The problem update is the Intel Graphics Controller update. I had a few users
downloaded & screwed their video. Normally I was able to over right w/earlier
driver, but I have 1 user the PC reset while selecting "Properties" I have
tried everything here to no avail. what else is left??? PC still reboots to
480x600/16bit settings & not able to change

It would seem then, that you've been caught by yet another variation of the
908531/912812 patch bugs - go to Add/Remove Programs, remove (probably)
908531, and see if that solves the problem.
If it does, post back and we'll proceed from there!
