Thanks. Will try these. Actually, since I last posted it appeared that sp2
had downloaded and installed. But when checking programs discovered only some
of the "hotfix" KB files had downloaded. This morning had the "updates are
available" panel pop up to indicate I needed SP2. So I went ahead and began
the download, which is currently hanging at 59% after more than an hour,the
system having shut down the modem in the meantime. I tried some of the
manipulation suggest by someone yesterday and that did help some but now hung
up again only differently.
