Hello,

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1.
I'm getting the Windows Update Client failed to detect with error 0x8024000e
in my Windowsupdate.log, this means that checking for updates fails, with
this error code.

I googled a lot but could not find a good solution for this error:
I also tried a few things, but they didn't work out.I tried this.
Stop the Windows Updates Service
Rename the SoftwareDistibution folder to SoftwaredistributionOLD
Start the Windows Update Service.

I hope someone can help me with solving this annoying error.

0x8024000e WU_E_XML_INVALID
Windows Update Agent found invalid information in the update's XML data.

Does this issue concern one specific update or all updates, Guido ?
What is the antivirus/security suite installed and is a 3rd party
fiewall being used ?
