OS: XP SP2
Antivirus softwares: have Norton Symantec Corporate Edition 10.0, Spybot,
Adware 2008.

The last week I keep getting notification from Windows Update informing me
to install updates, however, some of them, when I checked under Add/Remove
Programs are already installed. Even if I install them again, they keep
appearing in list of downloads.
The updates that are repeats so far are:
KB 941644 - originally installed Jan 8, 2008
KB 951748 - originally installed July 9th, 2008 and then again Jan 12, 2009
and Jan 16, 2009.
Why is MS offering me updates I've already installed?

Are all 3 updates listed in Add/Remove Programs?

Does your Update History at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com confirm that
all 3 updates have installed successfully?

When does your Symanec subscription expire?

Something's *very* wrong, Sein. I'd recommend that you...

Start a free Windows Update support incident request:
https://support.microsoft.com/oas/de...spx?gprid=6527

For home users, no-charge support is available by calling 1-866-PCSAFETY in
the United States and in Canada or by contacting your local Microsoft
subsidiary. There is no-charge for support calls that are associated with
security updates. When you call, clearly state that your problem is related
to a Security Update and cite the update's KB number (e.g., KB951748).

Support for Windows Update:
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/wusupport

For more information about how to contact your local Microsoft subsidiary
for security update support issues, visit the International Support Web
site: http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx

For enterprise customers, support for security updates is available through
your usual support contacts.
