Windows Update Crashing

I recently recieved a notice that there were updates to download, so I
clicked ok... well it got to 12% then stopped. Now every time I try to get
to anything to do with Windows update.. it crashes.. it does not crash my
computer, but the window that I have open stops resoponding. If I try to go
to the windows update web site it stops responding, if I go to the settings
page in the control panel it stops responding. Any help is appreciated..
