windows update critical notification 4.0 installation??????????

I can't get this damn thing to go any further than downloading. and its
****ing me off!!!

Go to Windows Update. Click the " Use administrator options " in the

Click the " Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems " link
in the right frame when the V4 site opens in a new IE window. Scroll to
and then click on Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition . Click the
Advanced Search link. Copy&paste this into the Contains these words
window : Windows Critical Update Notification
Click the Search button. Click on the Add button for Windows Critical
Update Notification 4.0 . Save it. Close IE and then install it.
