Windows Update dialogue box help

Every time I restart my computer, a Windows Update dialogue box appears
asking to resume or start download of internet explorer 6 from beginning. I
do not need to download IE 6, and I have tried everything to cancel the
update, but the dialogue box keeps appearing. Any suggestions?
