I installed XP SP2 on 27 Aug 04. Since that time I have tried numerous
troubleshooting tips, finally gotten my spyware/adaware under control, and
still cannot use the Windows Update page. I have had to manually download
updates from technet. It will scan my computer for the reccommended
hardware, but when I start the scan for updates I receive the "Page cannot be
displayed error". I lived with ME for 3 years, so I am very tolorable/
adaptive to work arounds. I have a HP Compaq Presario, Celleron, 2.8 GHz,
504 MB Ram, with Windows XP Pro as the OS. Any suggestions would be great.
