Help! I have Windows XP home edition, version 2002. I suddenly realized
that I have not been prompted to download any updates for a long while. I
went in to manual check for updates and I get redirected to this address:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/thanks.asp?
and then it prints:
"Thank you for your interest in Windows Update
Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the
most out of your computer. You must be running a Microsoft Windows operating
system in order to use Windows Update."
What is going on? I can't download any security patches or updates. Also,
something has happened to my ability to double-click on on icon and open the
file. I have to right-click, then click open or explore to open all of my
files. It is maddening! Can you help me please?
Thank you.
