I'm trying to build two Windows 2000 laptops at the moment. Each of them has
just done some updates but when I run Windows update again, I get the
following error. The error 0x80072F78 is mentioned on the error messages
page here:

http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527

As a misc. error - but the link is broken as well :-)

A search on the web suggests this error means:

ERROR_HTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE The server response could not be parsed.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Rob.

See post below RE:
"KB902400 causing problems"
I believe this was the message I got after KB902400 broke my server.
If you uninstall that service pack you will know for sure.
Worst case scenario, you will have to reinstall it.
WARNING: If you uninstall, you will still be vulnerable to the new threat.
It just might fix everything else though.
