Also receiving this error. This is absolutely inexcusable, look at the number
of people having trouble with this problem, you would think that some one at
microsoft could fix this. I am currently trying to finish a brand new install
of winxp home w sp2 that i purchased today and cannot access windows update.
I have no other software installed other than winxp. Automatic updates are
on. The windows firewall is turned off, security settings are set to custom=
low. What gives? Don't make me regret spending my money once again! comeon
microsoft do something about this!
