Windows Update Error 0x800A0046 after installing Windows Defender

Hi all,

Anybody experiencing the same problems? I've installed Windows Defender
after which I can't run Windows-update. I'm getting error 0x800A0046.

I've tried all known solutions from various sites. Tried uninstalling
Windows Defender. No results however.

Is there anybody out there with a briliant new idea?

I have a simial proble I got the Error Code: 0x80070005...WTF???

I also installed windows defender and now I cannot get windows updates,
whether I choose auto update, manual update...error message says necessary
files missing and need to re-register...also place where it says to "restore
updates that are hidden" button is grey and won't work...upset now..don't
have a clue what went wrong or how to fix it..says I haven't had an update
since 2/03...help...this is a brand new computer....
