Did you upgrade to Win7 or is it a brand-new computer?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on the
computer (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?

Have you tried...?

How do I reset Windows Update components?:

I am receiving the same error message 8000FFFF on Vista Home Premium version
of Windows, which is prohibiting windows updates to occur. I have 32 bit
operating system, 2.0 GHZ, Intel.

I thoroughly frustrated. I have contacted McAffe and have tried to download
the suggested updates on the website.

What do you recommend?
