Still not found a solution but just a warning for anybody else.
As the update icon kept coming up I installed the update for the 14th time
but when it asked for a reboot I declined. BIG MISTAKE as the update service
goes on a shutdown timer. You can postpone it, which I did for the max 4
hours. Then off I went and did my job.
Luckily I was clever enough to save my work but unless you keep postponing
the restart IT WILL REBOOT WITHOUT SAVING YOUR DATA. I did a test and opened
a Word doc and other stuff and simulated me going for lunch or to a meeting
and watched with horror as it rebooted and lost all the data I had simulated.
Obviously this is not good. My thoughts...
