Windows Update: Error Code 0xD0000005 - can anyone help please?

Hi, I am having problems with Windows Update. It cannot install the latest
update, and I have tried about 4 times now, but each time it fails. The
error code is 0xD0000005, which is not showing in any of the Q&A's in the
help and support pages. Can anyone help in solving this problem, or should I
install Windows XP again? Thanks.

Run this WGA diagnose test, connection to MS, that scripts working and a new
Validation tool

Hi Engel, thanks for your response. I ran the tool and everything passed ok.
I also ran the MS Baseline Security Analyzer which found 2 missing updates
to Windows XP; I downloaded one ok, but the other (MSML Parser 3.0) just will
not install. I tried installing it, repairing it, & removing it (at the
moment it is uninstalled), rebooting each time, but still I get the failed
KB934238 update when windows automatically tries to update itself. Any
further ideas? Thanks.
