Windows Update Error Code 8024402F

I have Vista 32bit, when I run Windows update I get error code 8024402F, I
disabled my firewall/antivirus, spyware, etc., I have no proxy.
I didn't make any changes to my computer, but I still get the same error.

8024402F WU_E_PT_ECP_SUCCEEDED_WITH_ERRORS
The XML extracted from the wuredir.cab failed to load into the DOM

That's not much help, is it ? Try installing the latest Version of the
Windows Update Client [agent, WUA]. Instructions on how to do so are
here:

The latest WUA includes a newer Version of msxml3.dll. Perhaps that's
what the error message is referring to.
