Windows Update error code?

When I try to update my windows vista with windows update,
I get an error code #80244019 and windows update says that it was not
possible to serch for updates and an unknown error has acured in windows
update...

Cansomeone help me please,

I dont know if this will help but I had the same problem (dont know if it
was the samecode)- turned out I had a virus and the only way I was able to
get rid of it was by downloading malwarebytes which is free - I did a scan
and it has got rid of the problem which was really stressing me. I hope this
helps

Chances are that you're seeing the affects of a hijackware infection.

1. See if you can download/run the MSRT manually:

2. Run this online scan (in safe mode w/networking, if need be):

3. Run additional checks for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis
log to an appropriate forum.

whats the website so i can download malwarebytes? and if i have the error
code 8000FFFF will malwarebytes work with it?
