Try one of these:
- you have web proxy settings incorrectly configured;
- you have a firewall blocking the correct operation of Windows Update;
- you have a bad download accelerator (disable them);
- you are running Vista with incorrect private/public network settings;

I not use a web proxy.
I use I firewall but works well on navigation with firefox.
I use a level predeterminate on navigation for IE.
I have a automatic update configurated , I think that its works well.
The others pages on update page work well.

It's the first time that error take efect.

Please disable your firewall and re-enable Windows firewall and try the
update again.

What do you mean by this? Sorry, I do not understand.

If the failing update number is KBnnnnnn, please post the contents of:
C:\WINDOWS\KBnnnnnn.log

When searching for available updates on the Update site, you receive the
0x8024402C error
