Hi
Most likely because the "Automatic Updates" service is not set to
Automatic or BITS is not set to Manual or Event Log is not set to
Automatic.
Please follow the steps below exactly:
1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
2. In the list of services, double-click on Automatic Updates
3. In the Startup type list, if not already set to Automatic,
click Automatic, and then click Apply.
4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
5. Double-click on Background Intelligent Transfer Service
6. In the Startup type list, if not already set to Manual,
click Manual, and then click Apply. Regardless of the Startup type
it had originally, see if you can stop and start the service
without any problem.
7. Then find the Event Log service and repeat step 3. and 4. for it.
