Windows Update Error. Please Help. I've tried anything without suc

Every time I try to update (either custom or express) I get a Error number:
0x8007007E

I can't find anything in the knowledge base about this any help would be
appreciated, thanks a lot in advance.

I seem to be having a similar problem, but with [Error number: 0x80072EFD]
when trying to update. i've tried all the solutions Microsoft gave for this
Error number on the solutions page...but to no avail.

Check the size of the following files in SYSTEM32

MSXML3.DLL
MSXML3R.DLL

If either one of them are 0 bytes, replace them DLLCACHE.

site", helps you resolve the problem:

If you can't find MSXML3.DLL
it might be MSXML3(2).DLL
Rename it to MSXML3.DLL
