After doing my updates from windows updates I always get this error

The message is "The ialmrnt5 display driver
stopped responding. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full
display functionallity. The next time you reboot the maching a dialog box
will be displayed giving you a chance to upload data about this failure to
microsoft. "
Every time there is a windows update this occurs. I haven't been able to use
the media center for sometime.
Any suggestions would really be helpful.
I already tried to rollback the driver in regular mode. Not sure if I should
roll back in safe mode again. I need a driver that works with Media Center. I
have the screen set at the highest 32-bit setting.

Thank you in advance! A frustrated
Windows Media center owner.

Found this:

Okay, here's the fix.

http://developer.intel.com/support/g.../CS-016497.htm
just follow the links and directions.

Now, I know on my comp, the screen sizes and stuff got funky. (Fieance
freaked when he saw what happend to his precious desktop)

To fix the screen prob caused by this go into:
Control panel
Intel GMA Driver
and fix till yours hearts content.

I updated my driver. I am still getting Media center shutting down when you
click on it. Are there any BIOS updates for Media Center that you are aware
of?

Thanks!

There are specific Media Center 2005 updates. I don't know if they are part
of Critical Updates.
You will have to search Microsoft Support and see.

Check your Add/Remove Programs (make sure Show updates is checked on top),
and see if you see a Media Center update.
