Windows update fail to connect.

I have configure the server to do the automatic update for evvery 3:00AM in
the morning, however, my browser is point to proxy (ISA) and allow it. but I
don't know what port should I open in the FireWall to connect to microsoft
update service server to get the update.

Can any one let me know what ports should I open from the FW?

You need the following services running as well for this to work:

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. type: services.msc and then press the <Enter> key.
4. When the Services window opens, verify that the following is set:
a. Automatic Updates service is "Started" and is set to "Automatic"
b. Background Intelligent Transfer Service is "Started", and is set to
at least "Manual".
c. Event Log Service is "Started."
5. Close out of the Services window, and open Control Panel
6. Double-click on Automatic Updates
7. When this opens, for your particular situation, make sure that Automatic
is checked and verify that 3am is still your preferred time.
8. Close Automatic Updates, then close Control Panel.

From the Firewall side, ports 80 (http) and 443 (https) should be open for
Windows Update.
Often, though, the Generic Win32 service is blocked, and this is what
prevents many updates from downloading.

Please try these suggestions and let us know how this goes.
