These are all Office 2003 updates. Try the following steps one by one until
the updates work.

1. Disable all anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, pop-up blocker, or
third-party firewall. If you disable a third-party firewall, re-enable
Windows Firewall instead. Try Microsoft Update again.

2. In any Office application, pull down the Help menu, select "Detect and
Repair", follow instructions, and have your Office 2003 installation CD
ready. Try Microsoft Update again.

3. In control panel "Add or Remove Programs", uninstall Office 2003. Then
re-install a fresh copy of Office 2003 from the installation CD. Then
install Office 2003 Service Pack 2, then go to Microsoft Updates for all the
post-SP2 updates.

Please report back what worked for you.

This below works for most. Please do not use any registry cleaning tools in the future

1st Rename Office subkeys

Note: Removing the following registry keys may reset customized user
settings for your Microsoft Office programs.

1. Close all the applications.
2. Click on Start->Run, type in REGEDIT and click on OK.
3. Locate and select the following registry subkeys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0

4. Right click on 11.0 and rename them to Old11.
5. Close the Registry Editor.

2nd. Detect and Repair Office 2003

1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to and click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. Click Change/Remove Programs on the left pane.
4. Highlight Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 on the right pane
and click Change.
5. Insert the correct version of CD when it requires.
6. Select "Reinstall and Repair" and click Next.
7. Select "Detect and Repair errors in my Office installation".
8. Click Install and wait the process to end.

3rd. Install the Updates

A complete disaster. I got this message
Error 1311. Source file not found: C:\MSOCache\All
Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383c9\e2561412.CAB.
Verify that the file exists and you can access it

RETRY CANCEL

If I retry it repeats the message and if I cancel it it says I have a fatal
error. Now when I want to run anything in office it trys to install the
whole thing again and asks me for the key number. Not a problem but thi is
not an acceptable way of operating. Please help. I am running the Microsoft
Home Use programme version of Office Pro 2003.

My world is crashing in and it is all happening at exam time
My daughter is going to kill me
