Windows update failed to install & caused damage

Hi, I tried to install the latest update:
Broadcom - Network - Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN
on my window vista pc. Unfortunately, it failed and a while later, my pc
stop producing sound. I checked my speaker & other sound devices but it still
won't work though the sound icon on the bottom right showed some responses.
Here is the error code: 80070103.
I really need some help here.

Now you'll have to find the latest driver from the manufacturer's site to
see if you can get everything working again or in the alternative, do a
system restore back to the time before the problem occurred.
