Windows Update Fails with error message from server

I tried everything suggested and none of it worked.

I would go into "Windows Update" and then "Express" and that
is when I would get the error code. ( 0x80072EE2 )

I went into the "Change Settings" area and managed to turn off
automatic updating software. Then used only windows update.
This seemed to work ok.

It appears that the automatic update software was corrupted when it was
originally installed.
