Windows update fails to install updates for 5 days now

I've done a million things suggested online, I manually downloaded the
updates I could find and installed them. Windows update - neither
automatic nor manual (website) keeps failing to install any new
updates - here are the last lines in my windowspdate.log file, any
help will be appreciated it's driving me nuts.

The only error I can read in there is FATAL: Error: 0x80070005.
Couldn't find anything legible to me online that I could use...

Thank you very much, the issue is now resolved after reinstalling the
qu client as posted in another thread as well as applying this fix.
I still have a problem installing the .net 3.0 framework - this is the
only update failing to install. Any ideas?
