Hi, every time I'm trying to get the latest update and patch for computers
under 2000 Pro SP4 and XP Pro SP1 and 2, I'm getting the following error code
number 0x8024402F. I had a look into the the news group here, in the KB of
Microsoft, on the internet in general and in the database of
experts-exchange.com and I can't find a solution. What this error mean?

My message number is 0x80070003 and In have tried the fermu advice and no
assist. Microsoft support tell me to "set up a web case as Windows XP on
www.microsoft.com/support" s they cannot assist as "Until recently Service
Pack 2 was supported by a separate team, it has unfortunately now been taken
over by our Windows XP Team and is considered a Windows XP Support Incident.
This is due to Service Pack 2 being released a year ago and all new versions
of Windows XP being released with Service Pack 2 preinstalled".

Sorry but totally confused........can anyone assist or tell me whether it
matters?!
